Born in Moscow, Russia.
Directed six broadcast hour and eight short TV documentaries to date, as well as one feature documentary.
Filmed in Syria, Iraq, Lebanon, the Democratic Republic of Congo, Senegal, Guinea, Serbia, Bosnia, Canada, US, UK, the Netherlands, Russia and other countries.
Started out by taking on all available jobs: editor, translator, sound person, cinematographer, producer and, finally, director. Thanks to that varied experience, I feel at home with all aspects of production and post-production.
B.A. (Hon) in Communications/Political Science from the University of Toronto/Sheridan College and Ms.C. in International Relations from the University of Amsterdam.
Winner of the Canada Screen Award for “Best Research” for HBO’s “Tales from the Organ Trade”.
